Tyler & Lauren’s Wedding

[ceremony] The Founder’s Chapel @ White’s Chapel United Methodist Church, Southlake

[reception] La Cima Club, Las Colinas

This was such a unique wedding for me. I rarely get less than 4 bridesmaids & groomsmen. (Ok, normally I get like 80) Lauren and Tyler had chosen one a piece as well as picking this lovely, historic chapel in Southlake.

The Founder’s Chapel is beautiful, with natural light spilling in from every direction – requiring me to position my crew in three stationary places in a triangular formation (left, right & back of the chapel). As the sun moved and hid behind the clouds, at least one of us had an awesome shot with the light catching Lauren’s veil. Ok, enough mushy stuff.

We did the group formals in front of The Mustangs in Las Colinas. During engagement pictures, it took very little prodding to get Tyler to jump over Lauren’s head. On the wedding day, the same was true. I think Lauren thought I was crazy for a moment, but she happily conceded. And what’s jumping over a bride if you can’t jump over the maid of honor too? Ya, we did that.

At the reception, the speeches were some of the best that I have heard. I even momentarily lost a crew member because she was so intently listening to Lauren’s father speak that she forgot to take  a picture! Now, that’s a good speech!

Tyler & Lauren’s Wedding

I can’t believe I am blogging at 2:30 in the morning. I downloaded all of my images from the wedding, backed them up and started posting them, and somehow it was 2am-ish.

Everyone was great, we fit in so well with the families and the bridal party was so easy to work with! Sure, it’s easy to say that when you only have a maid of honor, best man and two ushers. But they still rocked.

And a hint as to where the reception took place:

I also want to shout out to the excellent bartender at the La Cima Club, Alan, for keeping my Dr Pepper glass filled all night. Seriously, I would set it down to take a shot and, VIOLA!, a freshly topped off glass. Alan, you rock!

Jayme & Anthony’s E-pics

A series of very funny things led us into the studio that night. (Check out Jayme’s mom’s comment below which most adequately sums it all up).

I just want to say that, for the record, two very small pillow have A LOT of feathers in them. Afterwards we joked  about how it looked like we had sacrificed a small flock of birds in the studio. A week later I am still finding feathers in the oddest locations in the studio and explaining what exactly did occur!
