Caught @ Brittyn & John’s wedding

Nancy and I walking down the aisle so Jason can test his settings.

Jason pretending to walk so I can test my settings.

Nancy, Jason & I are plotting while Vivian is playing with the telephoto lens from the back of the church.

When we encounter a church with strict shooting rules, I will usually shoot the processional & recessional and I leave the ceremony shots to Vivian (and/or Jason). They are strategically positioned all around the church and they rock as photographers so I can take a moment to relax.

Here I am watching the ceremony from my vantage point with the ushers all around me- they sat down next to me right after the ceremony started and I was trapped. I needed to move for the recessional shots so I had to shoo them off a few minutes later.

I have no idea who this guy is but he wanted a picture with the three of us. Notice that Nancy is trying not to strangle herself with my lighting equipment.

Brittyn & John’s Wedding

Brittyn & John saw each other before the ceremony in the garden. I had been planning on the first meeting to be in the garden for a while but when we got to the church, there were several workers doing construction. Imagine my relief when they were gone 20 minutes before the meeting! Talk about a nail biter!

Jason rocked the ceremony pictures from his great vantage point in the choir loft!

Vivian got some great moments right after the ceremony!

They had the most adorable kids at the wedding!

Off to the reception we go!

We had such an amazing time with the whole crew. And I mean, we did have a crew of groomsmen & ushers this time. They were just a crazy bunch and so easy to get along with!

I am utterly sad that we didn’t have a rusty bathtub! Somehow we had found one both during bridals and engagements so I felt like there was something missing on the wedding day for sure!

Brittyn & John’s wedding : the preview

Hello party animals. It’s late so I have a few to show off from tonight.

Patricia & Tim’s Wedding

There’s a story worth mentioning right here. It was so cute that Tim’s dad was smiling in the background during the cake cutting. I was delighted to get a good shot of him zoomed in, smiling really big and just enjoying the whole day.

Now, notice the leaves in the top left of the image. This was a well placed ficus tree up against a window. So let’s see how finely tuned perceptual thinking is. If the ficus tree is against the window and it looks like the tree is in front of the camera (and the couple is in front of the tree) … where is the photographer?

Ya, balancing in the window frame, hoping the glass has been pressure tested.
