Alyssa, Michael, and …

Alyssa & Michael came with their, um, reindeer (?!) for holiday portraits. Hey, she sold me on the fact she was bringing her reindeer in. Only Alyssa & Michael :) We heart them.

You can never have enough feet pictures. :)

Kristen + Family

Hello everyone! Meet Kristen & her family! Kristen is one of my lovely officeites, working behind the scenes on editing, branding, packaging, and all sorts of other fabulousness. Kristen came into the office a few Mondays ago and asked if I had any suggestions for shooting her twins for their first Christmas card. “Yeah, bring them here and let me shoot them,” I joked. Kristen wasn’t exactly sure if I was serious about my offer and attempted pictures on her own. I giggled when she called a few days later wondering if she could bring them in. (I was serious, she definitely could!)

This is London & Jones, doing their giggly thing in my zebra print chair.

Kristen is definitely one of us, she totally tried to Nom Nom her kiddo right there.

London has become a pro at sitting.

Jones is still working on his sitting skills so we propped him up in the chair.

I have to admit that I did indeed pull out the monkey noises and the baby googely-gooes. Thankfully there is no video proof :)

Holiday 2009 Pictures

The holidays just aren’t right until Nancy, Viv and I get together for our annual portraits. Nancy’s husband James was our shooter. Thanks James!

We always start really sweet and innocent.

It never lasts long.

So we start picking up random things around the studio.

Gaffers tape. Who thought that was a good idea?

This is where Viv broke one of the poms. Awesome expression.

Ho. Ho. Ho.

I wanted to wish my blog stalkers a wonderful holiday season and, as I do yearly, I wanted to share my holiday decor. It all started with a metal Charlie Brown-like Christmas tree that one of Nathan’s cousins had given me as a gift. I knew from that moment that traditional holiday decorations were not what I was seeking.

Last year, I added turquoise and red stockings to the mix. This year, I started my hunt for the perfect silver tree. And it was found!

Nathan was in an origami mood this year so I added some of his creations to the mantle. Dinosaur.

Flower.

This is last year’s Santa ornament that I mentioned in this post. Speaking of, I decided on the Galaga ornament, but never got around to going to Hallmark. I might try them the day after Christmas to see if they have any left. Fingers crossed.

This year, I added red peacock feathers to the stockings.

Last, but not least, here’s a peek at this year’s holiday cards. They actually went out yesterday (my bad!) because I was waiting for some stickers that never came in (their bad!).

Stay tuned for outtakes from our annual holiday shoot – coming on Monday!
