2008, with love

I could write a paragraph full of warm fuzzies about 2008, but I will spare you the dramatics. To recap 2008 in a few words: it was a fabulously terrific year.

I’d like to thank my whole crew for making it exceptionally great and for earning us our 3rd consecutive title as The Knot’s Best of 2009 Photographers in Dallas.

Pam [ aka pamcakes, pancy]. You rocked the clipboard like a pro and never left the softbox behind.

Jason [aka don't kill me for posting this picture]. You taught us studio lighting subtleties, made me spend money on equipment I never knew I needed, and showed us how countless woman admire you from afar.

Nancy [aka lighting assistant]. You made me spit water all over my monitor countless times with antics such as these:

Vivian [aka Vivie]. You were the quiet backbone of the whole operation. Thanks for never beating me with monopod, even after I bitch slapped you with the camera during a wedding.

A little Ear Candy

I won an Itunes gift certificate from the Boudoir Divas and I spent a couple of days thinking through the songs that I wanted. I make no excuses for eclectic playlist or the fact that I just don’t listen to country music.

Here are the 9 songs that I purchased. I still have one more I can get, but I haven’t figured out what I want. Suggestions are welcomed!

for the nancy lovers …

I get several comments about our silly Nancy from my clients. Well, imagine what it is like to shoot her family! We had a family portrait session on Sunday and while those are uploading I wanted to share some of the caught pictures.

She looks sweet & innocent while she is taking a light reading …

But the second I walk away she jumps into full Nancy prowess mode.

Here she is getting Tami into trouble.  (Side note: Tami is not related to Nancy, she likes to hang around though).

I will admit I have been sitting on these images for a while. I wanted to end the holiday portrait season on a really cute note and this was it!

We found a really pretty day earlier in the month and we went to Lakeside Park in Highland Park for this session. Ashton was in a really great mood this time (still drooley as ever though) and  I taught Zach how to make snow angels in the grass:)
