Beck & Damon wow’ed us, made us cry, and entertained us! I won’t give away too much about what happened because I want to show it all in pictures, but I will share a few of my favorites that I picked out!

Beck & Damon wow’ed us, made us cry, and entertained us! I won’t give away too much about what happened because I want to show it all in pictures, but I will share a few of my favorites that I picked out!

I can’t believe I am blogging at 2:30 in the morning. I downloaded all of my images from the wedding, backed them up and started posting them, and somehow it was 2am-ish.
Everyone was great, we fit in so well with the families and the bridal party was so easy to work with! Sure, it’s easy to say that when you only have a maid of honor, best man and two ushers. But they still rocked.

I also want to shout out to the excellent bartender at the La Cima Club, Alan, for keeping my Dr Pepper glass filled all night. Seriously, I would set it down to take a shot and, VIOLA!, a freshly topped off glass. Alan, you rock!
I am crazy freaked out about jump starting a car. I’m always so worried about black and red, negative and positive, black touching red …. ahhhhhh. I just have heart palpitations through the whole process as I read the little instructions over and over just to make sure I have it all in the right order. Positive of dead car, positive of live car, negative of live car, negative of dead car …. Close eyes and start dead car. I used to run DC piggy back cables in my previous life and here I am scared of a little car battery!
It wasn’t even my car battery that was dead- I ran over to jump start someone else’s car. Even though I have a panic attack when jumping a car, it should have been a breeze, but then I remembered that my German-made bucket has the battery in the trunk. No worries, my husband had assured me there were positive and negative connections under the hood. He was right, but it took me 10 minutes and 2 manuals to prove him right.
So here is the lesson of the day:
1. Always have jumper cables in your trunk because sometimes a two-year old car battery will die without warning.
2. The order, according to the paperwork is: Red (positive of dead car), Red (positive of live car), black (negative of live car), black (negative of dead car). Start dead car.
3. Sometimes your husband is right when it comes to cars. (But I will deny this statement up and down if anyone asks).
4. Who thought putting a battery in the trunk was a good idea? I think it’s weird personally. O ya, that’s right. I called it weird.
… and he brought little Ella in for her first photo session!
In all seriousness, I’ve gotten quite a few emails asking how Jacob is. It was hard to go from seeing him every month to waiting for Miss Ella to come out and play! In 6 months, he has just gotten oodles cuter and he’s really funny, mimicking his parents and “talking” up a storm.
Ella is still pretty brand new so I haven’t actually touched her yet. I like to wait until they are less head-bobbley before I mess with them. We quickly indoctrinated her to her first portrait session and went straight to the tiny tutu that I have. I know, we are evil. But at least it’s a cute kind of evil, right?
Here- Ella is crying and Jacob is trying to pick her up. On a scale of cute to super cute, this definitely scores in super cute territory.

Let me just say that the moms and the flowers gave up before we did. Photo proof:

Addison totally rocked it, 100 degrees and full sunlight be damned! I even tried to be as nice as possible and keep her in the shade but she was up for playing right near the water.
