A little image love

Richae & Murph’s wedding from December 2007 made a big impression on Chelsey Dane, founder of Bride Associates (and wedding consultant extraordinaire). I was not only extremely excited to see my images on her website, but even more so excited when I received a request from her for some VERY LARGE prints for her new studio! Here is the layout that I came up with for her.

Krysten & Aaron’s E-pics

I’m asked quite a bit for recommendations on places to shoot engagement pictures. A short conversation with the couple usually gives me a good idea of their style, however, my correspondence with Krysten had been solely via email. I decided to take a funky risk and suggest an old cottonmill for pictures.

My first clue to what was going to follow was Krysten’s dress. Sassy! I love working with dresses at photo shoots- so many things to tug at; so many looks from sweet to sexy!

We went straight into the moody, hot, funky shots. Krysten & Aaron totally nailed them off the bat! Aaron’s background is in video so it prompted this one. I love the flare. Flair, baby, flare!

Vote for Keeli Muffin!!

Keeli & Joe’s wedding was at the Museum of Modern Art in July of 2007. It was ridiculously beautiful, lovely and artistic. You can vote for her once a day, EVERY DAY, until March 31st!

Rev

I think Jennifer has a secret plan of turning me into a country girl. I found myself in a new town today- Argyle, Texas. This is the third ranch that she has gotten me on! I was shooting her cousin Melanie’s stallion, Rev, for her new website and advertisements. Very exciting and unique experience!!

Keep your eyes pealed for the March issue of Barrel Horse News!

But in the meantime, watch for falling gnomes:)

Alicia & Paul’s Wedding

There’s no one place to start. No one story to tell. Alicia & Paul saw each other before the ceremony for formal portraits at the Fort Worth Club. With the help of their fabulous coordinator at the FW Club, Hope, I was able to secure the Terrace for their meeting pictures. I don’t know what was better- the lovely light spilling in through the windows or watching that meeting between the two of them. The photographer loved the light, the mushy Lynn loved watched their reactions. Alicia was giddy, excitedly telling the story of what had happened that day and Paul was just taking it all in quietly. It was amazing.

By the time the ceremony rolled around, everyone was just excited to get the show on the road and start partying. Well, Paul was mic’d and the mic was on during preceremony bustling about the church so he was broadcasting while guests were arriving.

I have never laughed so hard in my life. It was the funniest thing any of us had probably encountered and watching the rush or people trying to find Paul and let him know was only topped by Paul himself coming in and laughing about the whole thing. I told him right there and then that this was prime blog material. And it is.
