Cracknell Family

Vivian and I found ourselves in Grandbury this time. As we drove through Pecan Plantation we saw rows and rows of trees and … DEER! DEER! Where the heck were we?! In BFE, that’s where. Now, if you aren’t familiar with the term BFE, I have to tell you about how I came across the term myself. I moved to Plano my junior year in high school and started attending Plano East Senior High. The school is huge, and the parking lots are even bigger. So when you parked in the very back (the boonies) you were parking in BFE. So back to the Cracknell family … here we were in BFE, on a very cold day with a 2 year old that really likes his baby jaguar. So Vivian and I juggled the baby jaguar and the camera between the two of us and every once in a while we would toss him at William to get a giggle. The first image just cracks me up – there’s baby jaguar airborne. The second picture is William strutting off with his toy after a successful catch.

And here’s more of Nancy and James, as if you can’t get enough of them  …

And then James climbed a tree.

Just another day …

How to get noticed

My website requests one original email in return for additional information on packages. Over the last year I have received my share of both silly and normal emails. But today’s prize email was so great that it needed to make the blog. Without further ado, and with the author’s permission, I have the following:

“Lynn -
I heard you stopped working for Gobstoppers, and raspberry jam, which,
although upsetting, is understandable. I would like to employ your creative
eye for a session with me and my three, yes, three, crazy sisters. We need
to get some new pictures for the parents, and I think that the ol’ “Hey,
Sears does this!” won’t work for me. I need talent.

[talk of possible dates & schedules omitted]

Hoping its original enough for a laugh,
Amie”

Now, I have to admit that I almost deleted the email after the first sentence. I seriously thought it was one of those garbled spam emails that puts in random words so you open it and sit there confused. Really, when I read the first sentence I seriously thought “well, I never worked for a company called Gobstoppers!”.

Top that one suckers.

Merry Christmas!!

Kristie & JC’s epics

I got to meet JC!!!!!! He was seriously so much fun and such a ham … and then in his uniform he was all business. I know he’s not a sailor, but I had this image in my mind the whole way through the second part of the photo session (Eisenstadt’s “sailor kissing nurse”)

Finally, I’d like to share a new photography technique. I call this: picking up the camera and hitting the shutter accidentally.
