Birthday Celebration

My family is very small- there is about 11 of us total- yet it seems like we rarely get together anymore. My aunt & uncle celebrated their joint birthday this past Saturday and I had the pleasure of being the semi-official photographer (they made me eat more than they let me photograph!)… and as you can see, I had some competition.

On a very fun note, I had the opportunity to test out my new super-de-duper lens in low-light conditions. Where have you been all of my life lens? Where?

Emily Elbert’s Portrait Session

Two words: Ear Candy.

Two more words: Emily Elbert. (www.emilyelbert.com) Go to her website, enjoy her and love her. She will be the new sound of www.lynnmichelleportraits.com, which will be launched next week!

Sandy’s Bridal Portaits

Ah, relegated to showing vague flower pictures until the wedding day. These bridals sooo rocked too, I’m dying keeping them under wraps!

Mommy, Me and Photography Class!

The first Mommy & Me & Photography Class of 2007 was a hit! I had a chance to teach some great moms basic photography tricks while their little munchkins entertained my cats and ran around looking at the ducks outside the studio windows. Success? Check! Annoyed fur beasts? Check!

Joana (www.sellumiere.com) even snuck in a photo of me, very focused on talking about camera lenses! The next Mommy & Me & Photography Class is scheduled for May and will be announced soon.  So that you are in the know: the purpose of the class is to teach moms the best way to use their Digital SLRs to capture the best images of their children and to become more familiar with their equipment as a whole. I encourage bringing your little inspiration with you, not only to try techniques but to spend a fun afternoon together… and to let me play with your kiddos, of course!

Joana’s Family Portraits

… here is where the biting starting, but I didn’t take heed …

The preceding sequence of events occurred in a 45 minute time interval. At this point, I was lulled by the family above to think that they were a calm bunch. And then the pillow fight broke out.

In the end, they took three Gnomes & a squishy lamb hostage and at the time of writing this blog, are still threatening to return them in Gnomie & Lambie “bits”.
