I wasn’t able to shoot Marisa & Pete’s wedding, but they HAD to have me for anniversary pictures. It warms my heart to have kept in touch with Marisa after her wedding and to have been chosen to take these pictures!

I’m just like you.
I own a point and shoot camera.
I take it to parties and shoot really random things.
I beg people to take pictures of me.
I squish people and offer up a big, cheesy grin.
I constantly leave it in video mode.
I’m incapable of writing a haiku.
This is what it would look like if Humza Yasin and I were a two-headed photography monster. 2 cameras, no waiting.

This is my serious pose. (Notice that KJ’s is no better). I’ll work on Blue Steel for my next photo op.
O ya. The part about Tony having a party. Thank you Tony for a fantastic Christmas party! May you have continued success and oodles of creativity. I look forward with working with you in the upcoming year!

Family. Pictures. Horsies. Rhome. RHOME?!
Ok, I guess I’m going to take my city girl self to the country. Mapquest seriously said “consult a paper map for further directions”. Well surely my trusty GPS wouldn’t leave me high and dry? Ugh. I hear that annoying “you have arrived” ding just as I pull into another pasture. Time to consult back road directions.
Now, have you seen back road directions? Thank goodness I brought a navigator with me to watch out for major landmarks and wayward chickens. O yes, many a chicken crossed the road but they were in no rush to get to the other side. My navigator, Jenni, was partially hyperventilating by the time we arrived- we had definitely come from the wrong direction and the row of mailboxes that signaled our final turn were on the wrong side.
But we got there, in one piece. And everyone involved has been sworn not to tell my husband that I took his car off-roading.

My tour around the metroplex begins with a visit the Weisfeld Center in Dallas, where I was openly welcomed by their resident coordinator, Molly. I wanted to offer my clients a lovely glimpse into this richly detailed venue and Molly was more than happy to show me around and tell me it’s story. How often do you find a location with a story in Dallas!?
This is a must see historic locale in the heart of Dallas. Please go to http://www.weisfeldcenter.com/ for more information and to book an appointment for a viewing.

I had an idea: the kind where I jump up and down and wiggle my hands in the air. If you have ever seen me while an idea hits, it’s like I have a huge sugar rush. I even think I did jazz hands this time around.
The result? Some really fun, personal pictures at Susan’s home, which I think made it so much more special.
But let’s not forget how egocentric I am, I had to get a picture of me in there:

What are Christmas portraits without me? Tame?
